Blizzard has just put up a promotional website for SC2: Join the Dominion. Read the announcement and FAQ for more information, and visit the new site.
So what's this all about? The site has three major parts:
An entrance exam: basically a "Which Terran SC2 unit am I?" quizA Propaganda Contest: design a propaganda poster for any SC2 race, with the best (as chosen by the community using Facebook Likes as votes) winning a huge prize packageUnlockable content: as everyone interacts with the site, (including Liking or Sharing it on Facebook) a counter will count up, and every 5% it goes up, "a new section will light up, unlocking an exclusive piece of content. When the bar is completely filled, the final (and most awesome) unlockable item will be awarded."Go to this thread to see and discuss the list of unlocked unlockables.
Update: The bar has reached 50% and a video has been unlocked: A New Era. The second part of the video will be unlocked at 75%, so keep using the site!

Slowly but surely we are coming to an end of GSL Season 3. Only four players left – three Koreans and one player from Sweden! Who will advance into the Grand final? Who will be eliminated? Read on!

HongUn started very well, defeating Rain confidently on Metalopolis. But Terran player caught up and set the final score to 4-2 – Rain is our first finalist!

Unfortunately, MC was just too good for Jinro, as he won all 4 games. Nevertheless a great TvP final is coming on December 18! See you then

Heart of The Swarm – StarCraft 2 Expansion

StarCraft 2 has been released several months ago and thousands of players are looking forward to the first expansion pack – the Heart of the Swarm.

As the name tells, it will be focused on the Zergs. But what campaign will it bring? New units? And what about the release date? Continue reading!

Update May 30th – A Teaser leaked!

In August 2010 Blizzard stated that it will take about 18 months to finish the Heart of the Swarm expansion – which leads us to presume it will be released during the beginning of 2012.

The HotS campaign continues after the end of Wings of Liberty – the main focus is put on Kerrigan.

Player will take control of her in kind of RPG style and evolve her personal power – the greater power the more Zerg she is able to control.

There will be no cash like in the original campaign but possibility to select the next mission remains – a branched storyline structure will be used.

Also, more will be seen of the Kel-Morian Combine and Umojan Protectorate.

The only expansion of StarCraft 1 – BroodWar – has brought several new units to the gameplay so it`s likely that we`ll see some new stuff here as well.

But what these units will be? A lot of original Broodwar units were replaced by new ones (for example Medic by Medivac, Devourer by Corruptor, Valkyrie by Viking) – only Lurker remains as the possibility number one. An infested bunker was mentioned at Blizzcon 2010. But nothing has been officially confirmed yet…

Again, we don`t know anything for sure yet – but some indications are that the price for StarCraft 2 expansion will be about $30.

Blizzard said that despite the amount of work on the campaigns, the company still views them as expansions, not additional games.

The Final of GSL Season 3 is finally here! Rain or MC? Terran or Protoss? Who secured the throne? Read on!

MC started great, faking a hard Void Rush, expanding and then holding off the Terran onslaught. The second game was probably the most interesting – long battle on Lost Temple with drops, psi storms, blinking, offensive bunkers, Siege tanks and much more. Rain got one point in the third game by well executed Banshee rush. But the two remaining games were completely in control by MC. Well done and congratulations!
